Bookbinding

I wanted to become a bookbinder because I love books, reading and crafting things. So I decided to move to a small town in England and work in a bindery on a farm.

It was a challenging, but rewarding job. My experience in this role developed my self-sufficiency, as once I was given the specifications, I often has significant autonomy in deciding how the project should be executed. This required ongoing self-assessment of my work, prioritising important elements of the build, and setting realistic objectives that balanced attention to detail against tight deadlines.
